Designed by the Buhler brothers in the 19th century, the Parc de la Tête d'Or is the largest urban park in France. In the middle of the 15ha lake, the island of memories is accessible via an underpass. Greenhouses collect varieties of exotic and carnivorous plants, but also seed reserves in anticipation of climate change. It also hosts a monument dedicated to the 1996 G7, a zoological park, and three rose gardens, because the first hybrid rose was born here. Its wide alleys and groves of varied species are conducive to relaxation and walks.
