Palace of Versailles

Once the royal Palace of France's most famous Kings, the Chateau of Versailles is simply outstanding. We'll make a timed entrance reservation for you and you'll be able to stay inside of the palace for as long as you want at the end of the bike tour.

Opened in the time of King Louis 14th, the Versailles Farmers Market is outstanding! Your guide will give you a market tour to get you familiar with where all the best foods can be found. Then you will have 30 minutes of free time to roam the brimming food stalls and pick up whatever you want to eat for the picnic that will happen later in the day.

Le Hameau De La Reine

This was the hide-away of Marie-Antoinette! Seeking a complete break from royal life Queen Marie-Antoinette had this private farm village built so that she could pretend to be a commoner. You'll do a walking tour on the little paths through the village and farmyard and be able to pet some of the adorable animals that live there today such as the pigs, sheep, goats, geese, and cows.

  • Meet outside of a train station named Gare Saint-Lazare, at the entrance to the STARBUCKS COFFEE. Located at the address :  2 Rue de la Pépinière. BE AWARE there are 4 Starbucks in and around the train station.

End Points

  • At the end of the bike tour, you'll be able to visit the Palace of Versailles for as long as you want! The guide will give you train tickets and a map of Versailles town for the 15-minute walk back to the train station. The trains from Versailles to Paris run every 20 to 30 minutes.

Please be there 15 min before the official departure time as the train won't wait!  There is no way of catching up with the group once the train leaves the station.    Guides & Ticket Manager will show up 15min before the scheduled time of the tour.  For the   Palace of Versailles Bike Tour you will meet with your guide in central Paris, outside of a train station named Gare Saint-Lazare, in front of   STARBUCKS COFFEE. located at the address :   2 Rue de la Pépinière. BE AWARE there are 4 Starbucks in and around the train station. We meet in front of the one located at 2 rue de la Pépinière, outside of the train station. That is at the corner of Rue de la Pépinière and Rue Pasquier. We meet in front of the entrance of the Starbucks Coffee.  Gare Saint-Lazare can easily be accessed with the metro lines 3, 12, 13 and 14 (station name SAINT-LAZARE).   FYI: You do not need to buy train tickets, they are included in the tour price and will be provided on the day of the tour.  The ticket manager and guides are wearing Blue shirts or BLUE FOX TRAVEL signs.  The following paragraph only applies to Reduced Fare reservations:  IF you booked for the Reduced Fare, please remember to bring your valid Museum Pass OR proof of age if your are entitled to the Reduced Fare because of your young age. NOTE : you cannot buy the Museum Pass on the tour, you must have a valid Museum Pass when meeting with your guide on the morning of your tour.
