Mykonos might be most famous for its beautiful beaches and ancient ruins, but the island is also a great place to sample Greek cuisine. Discover traditional Mykonian cuisine on this evening tour, as you visit a local farm; help picking the vegetables and preparing the dishes; and tuck into a delicious Hellenic barbecue dinner, including local specialties such as horiatiki salad, tzatziki sauce, and Mykonian sausage omelet.
Pickup included
The bus will pick you up and drive directly to the the farm, where you will be greeted by the Farm's superintendent. Sit and relax on a traditional stone built couch, while learning the history of the island's farming and be guided through the farm, showing you how the organic and the animal farming operates. After the tour, begins the Hellenic barbecue experience, which is filled with gastronomic delights that will make your stomach rumble throughout the procedure. An experienced grill man will start the fire and a variety of the highest quality Hellenic meat will be there to consume at the "feast". All participants will take turns in learning the Hellenic practices of barbecuing. During the whole procedure, you will also learn to make necessary side dishes, such as the famous horiatiki salad, which of course will consist of ingredients straight from our farm, the well-known tzatziki sauce, with fresh cucumbers directly picked from our garden and also a fresh Mykonian sausage omelet will be cooked on the spot, with eggs that you will pick directly from our coop. The "junketing" and the consumption of meat, wines, drinks will be served under a shady pavilion.
Choose to be picked up from a list of locations
• Transfers are included from/to all hotels and most areas of Mykonos, however for some remote places (Elia, Kalafatis, Agrari, Panormos, Super Paradise, Paradise & Kanalia) or from remote villas, apartments or houses, there will be an extra charge (10,00 euro per person R/T), payable in cash on the spot to the driver. • All clients are kindly requested to send their preferred meeting point and location until 3:00pm of the previous date. Should they fail to do so, our company will do anything it can in order to locate them (telephone, email, etc), however it is not responsible for any failure to meet them. • Meeting points can be hotels anywhere on the island, the old port or the new port. The information necessary is either the hotel name or the name of the cruise ship they are arriving with. • For any other accommodation, clients are requested to send us a google map, a nearby hotel or any information that would help us locate them. • Any delay of behalf of the client (up until 15 minutes that we will be waiting for them) affects the transfer schedule and disrupts the smooth conduct of the tour/activity. • For no-name accommodations, apartments, houses or villas, our company will set the most convenient location for the pick-up or may have a extra cost (applies for remote areas)
