Asakusa is a distinctive place to have both a Buddhist temple and a Shinto shrine next to each other. You will also be able to know more about the religious views among Japanese people.
Finally, Ryo will take you to Nakamise Shopping Street, where he will explain the origin of Senso-ji Temple while showing various illustrations. Also, he will tell you how the temple has been loved and supported by a variety of people, from locals to the generals of different periods.
The host, Ryo has 6 years of experience working in Asakusa as a rickshaw driver and is passionate about introducing Japanese culture and history through the exploration of Asakusa. Nakamise Shopping Street (Kaminarimon)
We will enter the center of Asakusa area from the main gate of Sensoji Temple, Kaminarimon Gate, which is the icon of Asakusa.
Senso-ji Temple Bentendo
After walking into the central area of Asakusa, we will take a look at one of the lovely temples in Asakusa, Bentendo, which has the deity of art and prosperity.
