Amsterdam has redefined the concept of cat cafes with a sophisticated twist; The Cat Cabinet. Housed in a historic canal house on Herengracht, this museum occupies the first floor, showcasing a unique collection of feline-themed art and cat paraphernalia in creatively designed rooms. The brainchild of Bob Meijer, the museum pays homage to his cherished ginger cat, John Piermont Morgan. Amidst vintage sofas, 17th- and 18th-century woodwork, and vibrant curtains, visitors are surrounded by a multitude of cats. Picasso, Rembrandt, Theophile Alexandre Steinlen, Henriette Ronner Knip, Toulouse-Lautrec, and other renowned artists contribute to the extensive collection. The Cat Cabinet offers a perfectly delightful day out for cat enthusiasts, providing an opportunity to appreciate art while surrounded by furry companions
