See the extensive aquaculture systems designed to trap and harvest Kooyang (eel) for food and trade, fish traps, and remnants of ancient Aboriginal stone houses.


Accessibility Info

  • The 2-hour walk is undertaken in two parts
  • The first hour of the tour is at the Aquaculture Centre building, the eel holding tank, and out on the boardwalk over the lake
  • This part of the tour is accessible by prams and wheelchairs, and participants with limited mobility
  • The second hour of the tour takes you down the western side of the lake, and in parts through long grass, and over uneven ground
  • This part of the tour is not suitable for prams or wheelchairs
  • For participants with limited mobility, please note that there is no rest areas or seating available during this second hour of the tour
