Surendrapuri
You will be picked up from your hotel in the morning for the 2-hour drive to Surendrapuri. On your arrival in Surendrapuri, you will be met by your guide for the day who will explain to you the history and mythology of the various statues and scenes that you will be seeing at the park. You cannot miss the giant 60 feet tall statues of the Gods Shiva and Hanuman at the entrance to the park. As you continue down the walkway, you will see over 3000 statues that depict Hindu Gods and characters from Indian epics like the Ramayana and Mahabharata. After this cultural and religious extravaganza, take lunch (own expense) at one of the many food stalls. After lunch, you will see stories of some popular Hindu Gods like Krishna and Hanuman depicted in the form of life-size statues. Visit the Buddha statues, too. Next proceed to the section that displays stories from the Hindu epic, Mahabharata. At the end of the tour you will be driven back to Hyderabad and dropped off at your hotel.
