SSI Mermaid Course (12 years old & above)
Ready to advance your mermaid adventure? The SSI Mermaid course teaches essential skills and techniques to help you master your mermaid abilities, feel confident in the water, and make the most of your mermaid gear. Once certified, you can take your mermaiding to the open ocean and continue your underwater exploration!

09:30 — Proceed to swimming pool for Mermaid In-Water Skills
- 3 types of basic Dolphin Kicks: Face Down / Face Up / Sideways

Inclusions
- In case of schedule changes or cancellations due to traffic, weather, or other force majeure events, the Travel Operator reserves the right to adjust routes, timetables, itineraries, and reserved accommodations if necessary.
- Please prepare a digital copy of your passport photo for registration.
- Guests with the following medical conditions are not allowed to participate in the diving activities: hypertension, heart disease, asthma, epilepsy, and pregnancy.
- Participants with recurring medical issues who still wish to join the diving course or activity must present a Doctor’s Letter of Consent, but final approval remains subject to the Travel Operator’s discretion.
- All guests must sign a Liability/Release Form (Waiver) before or upon arrival. Diving and snorkeling activities are not permitted until the form is signed and witnessed. All guests must follow the resort’s diving and safety regulations.
- Smoking is only allowed in designated smoking areas. Smoking in non-smoking guest rooms will result in charges for cleaning, repair, or replacement of damaged items such as bedding, curtains, or wallpaper.
- The Liability Release Form must be fully understood and signed before the tour or activity begins.
- Alcohol consumption during the dive or trip is strongly discouraged.
- Private charter vehicle (4–10 seater) is available upon request for an additional charge of MYR 300.00 per vehicle. Please inform us in advance before the tour commences.
- We strongly recommend customers purchase comprehensive travel insurance prior to traveling to Borneo. Your policy should cover medical expenses (including emergency evacuation), personal liability, trip cancellation, curtailment, and loss of luggage. This helps minimize disruptions and unexpected costs. We encourage customers to choose packages responsibly, prioritize safety, and remember that life is priceless.

Pick-Up & Drop-Off Outside Kota Kinabalu City (6–10 km)
- Additional charge: MYR 80.00 per person (return)
- Applies to locations such as: Penampang, Donggongon, Inanam, Luyang, Likas, Kepayan, or other areas 6–10 km from the city center.
- Payment: Supplier will provide the Qrcode via Over The Planetmessage a day before the tour start
No Pick-Up & Drop-Off Service (more than 10 km)
- For hotels located more than 10 km from Kota Kinabalu city, service is not available.
- This includes: Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort, Nexus Karambunai, Borneo Beach Villa, Putatan town, Beringgis Beach Resort, Langkah Syabas, Szhnn Vacation Apartment, 1 Borneo Klagan, TUNE Hotel, or other locations beyond 10 km from the city.
- Guests must arrange their own transportation (e.g. Taxi or Grab) to the town or jetty. The tour guide or crew will meet you there. Thank you for your understanding.
