Small group wine tasting tour from Split, Croatia on which you will have a chance to try 4 indigenous wine sorts and enjoy a walk to the nearby Biblical Garden. Our winery is located on the slopes of mountain Kozjak in an old stone house surrounded by vineyards. Transport is organized year round from Split center Mondays-Saturdays (Sundays on request).
Croatia is not just one of the oldest wine regions on the planet, it’s also one of the most diverse. We have around 150 indigenous grape sorts and Kastela region near Split has 11. According to the old Church documents family Kuzmanic started producing wine 300 years ago, especially ancient Dalmatian sorts Glavinusa, Babica (ZINFANDEL’S GENETIC COUSINS NOT AVAILABLE ELSEWHERE) and Posip. Their sea-view cellar located on the slopes of mountain Kozjak is a 120 years old stone house offering fantastic views of the nearby islands. We’ll have time to try all their award winning sorts accompanied by traditional Dalmatian prosciutto and cheese, meet our producer and his family and take a stroll to the nearby Biblical Garden where you will learn about Zinfandel’s Croatian origin.
You will make your own way to the meeting points
