Step into a living piece of Showa-era Japan in Shinsekai, a retro neighborhood full of character. Stroll through streets lined with nostalgic shops, colorful signs, and street food stalls. Enjoy tasting some local favorites—crispy, savory snacks that are beloved by locals. This is Osaka at its most authentic—gritty, lively, and endlessly fascinating.

Tsutenkaku

Get up close to one of Osaka’s most iconic landmarks. Though the tour doesn’t include admission to the observation deck, you’ll have time to take great photos from outside. Your guide will help you find the perfect backdrop and camera angle to capture the tower’s unique character.

Isshinji Temple

Step into a serene temple tucked away near the city center. Here, you’ll encounter rare and moving aspects of Japanese Buddhism—such as a statue made from ashes of the deceased, and spiritual rituals like alcohol abstinence prayers. Your guide will explain these customs and their cultural meaning in simple, respectful English.
