Giant 3d Cat Display Billboard
The 3D cat display is a giant curved LED screen above Shinjuku’s east exit, known for showing a hyper-realistic, animated calico cat. It appears to pop out of the screen, surprising and delighting passersby. It’s become a popular modern landmark and photo spot in Tokyo.
Kabukicho District
We’ll walk through the bustling neon streets of Kabukicho, Japan’s largest and most exciting nightlife district. Along the way, you’ll learn about its unique blend of entertainment, from glamorous host clubs to long-standing queer bars. You’ll spot famous landmarks, quirky photo spots, and hear fascinating stories about Kabukicho’s hidden LGBTQ+ history and underground culture.
Hanazono Shrine
Next, we’ll visit a serene Shinto shrine tucked away in the heart of Kabukicho. You’ll learn about its unique connection to Tokyo’s night workers and the local LGBTQ+ community. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful moment of reflection and a few beautiful photos.
