Mozart's Birthplace
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is a central figure in Salzburg's cultural identity and heritage. Mozart was born on January 27, 1756, in Salzburg at No. 9 Getreidegasse, which is now a museum known as "Mozart's Birthplace" (Mozarts Geburtshaus).
Residenzplatz
Residenzplatz is one of the most prominent squares in Salzburg. Residenzplatz is part of Salzburg's Old Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The square is named after the Residenz, the former residence of the Prince-Archbishops of Salzburg.
