The practitioner, Wallis, trained in multiple complimentary energy disciplines brings all her training, and knowledge, to each experience administered. Wallis is a Reiki Master Teacher, and has been practicing since 2005.
Studio1Pilates is the only studio offering BioMat treatments, and BioMat treatments combined with pilates sessions. Reiki treatment may be applied as well for an added value. BioMats may be used without heat, or with heat ranging from 94 to 158 degrees. The mats emit negative ions, and far infrared light. The higher the heat, the greater the benefit. The mats contribute to an alkaline condition in the body. They contribute to healing, and temporary pain relief. Pilates, with proper posture, appropriate execution, and alignment can contribute to that pain relief. Per the FDA, these mats are medical grade. Richway Fuji Bio International, the manufacturer, is a medical equipment company.

Reiki has its own intelligence and knows exactly where to go, what to do, and needs no "direction" from the practitioner. It puts the person treated in a "space" where many positive responses can occur, some of these are: calming and relaxation, feelings of peace and joy, relief from pain and inflammation, fatigue, insomnia, etc. Reiki can never do harm. Reiki is a pure form of healing. The feeling of being connected directly to one's high self, healing love, and protection is clearly apparent. This energy works to harmonize, or bring into balance, the total you: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Reiki is for reducing stress, headaches, anxiety. It facilitates a sense of balance, serenity, well-being, relaxation, clarity, inner peace, and calm. It also helps release emotional blocks stalling creativity. One can gain focus, intention, and a sense of personal empowerment. The benefit is sustained as long as 3 months. Restore joy. Results vary from person to person. The client is clothed. Complimentary aromatherapy is included, if desired.
