Enjoy a 7-hour private tour from Wellington to the South Wairarapa covering majestic scenery, visits to Gladstone and Martinborough Wineries including a spectacular platter lunch at one of the wineries we visit. We also visit the beautiful town of Martinborough well recognised for the 'Capital' of Pinot Noir of the North Island.

We visit up to 4 wineries including lunch at a winery. Your tour also includes a private tour at one of the wineries visited covering the winery, vineyard and tastings.

If you have any particular winery you wish to visit this can be arranged in advance.

Itinerary

We stop at the Remutaka mountain summit (555 metres above sea level) to take in the majestic views and view the Remutaka Crossing monument which commemorates the 60,000 New Zealand troops who made the crossing from the military camp in Featherston to the Port of Wellington between 1915 and 1918.

At Le Gra, we meet the Owners of Le Gra, Nicky & Brian Geary. Taste up to 8 wines, take a walk through the vineyard (subject to Viticulturist availability) and enjoy a scrumptious platter lunch overlooking the Pinot Noir vines. Your lunch and wines are all made on site by Nicky.

We have a private tasting of up to 6 wines at one of the oldest wineries in the Gladstone region. Please note that an alternate winery in Gladstone may be visited.

CRUISE PASSENGERS - Please note the following important information: Pick up Wellington cruise port terminal, Aotea Quay: We will meet you on the Port at the Independent Tour Operators Pick Up Point. Please note the Port has limited shelter so we recommend waiting until the first rush of visitors has gone through. In the case of bad weather, it will also make your disembarkation more pleasant. DO NOT catch the bus to the Wellington i-SITE. Stay at the port. Disembarkation Directions: • When you disembark, please walk past the buses to the Independent Tour Operators Pick Up Point. There will be people to direct you. • Your Kaewa Tours Guide will be there holding a sign with your name on it. • Your Kaewa Tours Guide will be wearing an orange or a yellow high vis’ vest. Wellington Railway Station: Pick-ups are from outside the front entrance on Bunny Street.
