Jama Masjid

Humayun's Tomb

Humayun’s Tomb in New Delhi is a magnificent example of Mughal architecture and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built in 1570 by Empress Bega Begum in memory of her husband, Emperor Humayun, the tomb is often considered a precursor to the Taj Mahal. Designed by Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyas, it features a grand red sandstone structure with white marble domes, set within a Persian-style Charbagh (four-part) garden. The tomb complex also houses several other Mughal-era monuments, including the tombs of Isa Khan and Barber’s Tomb. Qutub Minar
