Itinerary

Wat Chai Mongkhon
Pass-by Only

Wat Chai Mongkhon, an ancient royal monastery, is one of the most important temples in Ayutthaya province. Also called the Great Monastery of Auspicious Victory, this temple is known for its Buddha statues in saffron robes. Before you leave, climb the stairs for a beautiful view of the statues and garden!

Ping River
Pass-by Only

The Mae Ping River cuts through Chiang Mai, just a few blocks east of the Old City and night market, where its banks have been developed with hotels, open-air restaurants and bars. As it flows through the countryside, the river retains its natural charm. The ancient city of Wiang Kum Kam is also located on the coast south of Chiang Mai.

Iron Bridge (Sapaan Lek)
Pass-by Only

This picturesque steel bridge looks old but is actually a modern creation, built as a homage to the old Nawarat Bridge, which was demolished in the 1970s. Every evening it lights up with changing colours throughout the night, and is a popular place for young locals to hang out.
