It was once used as a quarantine station before the British built the Stone Town prison in the 1890s, though the prison was never utilized. Next, head back to Stone Town for a historical walk through this UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore key landmarks such as the Old Market (dating back to 1903), which features sections for fish, meat, vegetables, fruits, and spices. Visit notable sites like the House of Wonders (National Museum), Tippu Tip House, the former English Club (Africa House), and the Old Fort.
