Casual clothing
Women: Please bring a kimono bra if you have one. We recommend that customers who rent a yukata wear light-colored underwear.
Men: We do not provide men's underwear or shorts. If you wish, you can rent them (220 yen).
If you are worried about the cold, please wear leggings (tai socks cannot be worn with tights), innerwear with a wide collar both in the front and back, or heat tech.
Luggage storage service:
Extra charges will be incurred for special baggage such as suitcases, strollers, and wheelchairs, large baggage, and baggage exceeding 50cm x 40cm.
We will check your clothes, handbags, backpacks and other baggage free of charge.
Please keep your valuables with you at all times. We cannot store cameras, passports or other valuables.
Due to space limitations, we are only able to accept one suitcase per person.
If the kimono has irreparable damage (oil paint, cigarette tar, torn seams, holes, etc.), there will be an additional charge of JYP5,000
We do not allow pregnant customers to dress in a kimono, considering unexpected changes in their physical condition. However, if you strongly wish to dress in a kimono of your own volition, we will dress you at your own risk. However, Yumeyakata will not take any responsibility if any problems arise. Please understand this and sign a pledge when you visit our store.
The last entry time is 4pm, so if you come after that time we will not be able to help you dress.

We also offer a wide range of sizes, from S to 4LW for women and 5S to 5L for men, so that everyone can wear them comfortably and beautifully. In order to provide high-quality service to all customers, all of our kimono dressers and stylists are professionals who have undergone thorough training and testing in-house. Therefore, we take every precaution not only in terms of dressing skills, but also in terms of safety and comfort.
Our shop is conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from Gojo Station and just one stop from Kyoto Station. It is also an ideal starting point for a stroll, with excellent access to Kyoto's most famous tourist spots, such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Gion, Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, and Nijo Castle. By walking around the city of Kyoto wearing a kimono, you can experience a special moment that transcends time, which you cannot experience by simply sightseeing. You will blend into the old streets lined with townhouses and teahouses, and feel as if you have traveled back in time. You can choose from the following three methods for returning your rented kimono. We will confirm your preferred method when you visit the store.
Return to store by 5:30 pm on the day
Return to store between 9 am and 5 pm the next day (additional charge required)
Return by mail (additional charge required)
By bus: Get off at "Karasuma-Gojo bus stop" and walk 5 minutes east along Gojo-dori. Take bus number 5, 26, or 101 from Kyoto Station.
By train: From "Kiyomizu-Gojo Station" Exit 3, walk west for 8 minutes. Cross the Gojo Ohashi Bridge from Exit 3 and continue in the same direction.
By metro: 3 minutes walk from Gojo Station on the Karasuma Subway Line, Exit 1. (Towards the manned ticket gates) Continue in the same direction from Exit 1.
Taxi: 5 minutes from JR Kintetsu Kyoto Station
Please tell the taxi driver to go to "Gojo Street, north side, Takakura Street, east side."
