A short drive away, we’ll visit the Tymvos, the monumental burial site of the fallen Athenian soldiers who fought in the famous Battle of Marathon in 490 BC. The tomb is a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made during this historic battle and its influence on the Olympic ideals of courage and perseverance.
Continuing on, we’ll pass through the impressive OAKA (Olympic Athletic Center of Athens), the venue that hosted the 2004 Olympic Games.
