Toshogu Shrine

Nikko Toshogu Shrine is located in Yamauchi, Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture. It is the main headquarters of Toshogu Shrine. The main enshrinement deity is Tosho Ogongen (Tokugawa Ieyasu). Toshogu Shrine enshrines Tokugawa Ieyasu, the first shogun of the Edo shogunate. It has rich cultural heritage. historical landmark. The architecture of Toshogu Shrine is exquisitely carved and magnificent. It is located among the Nikko Mountains and is built against the mountains. It is full of momentum. Among them, the Japanese-style Mingyang Gate and the Chinese-style Tang Gate are its representative buildings. Its design aesthetic also interprets different metaphors, "Sleeping Cat": the carved sleeping cat has two flying sparrows on its back. This symbiotic coexistence between animals is said to symbolize the peaceful future of the newly unified Japan, and it is also the most famous sculpture of Toshogu Shrine - "Sanbu monkey".

Iroha Mountain Road is one of the "Top 100 Roads in Japan". It is 15.8 kilometers long from Nikko City to Lake Chuzenji and Oku-Nikko. There are a total of 48 turns in the up/down route. It is a mountain road in the Nikko area. Famous for its scenic driving routes. In autumn, the mountain trails are the most beautiful and very popular. Due to the different heights of the mountains, you can enjoy the entire red leaves of various colors, which makes you feel relaxed and breathtaking.

Shōyō-en Garden is a beautiful traditional Japanese garden located in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. It is adjacent to the Rinnoji Temple, one of the most important temples in Nikko, and is known for its serene landscape, featuring ponds, bridges, and meticulously maintained trees and plants. The garden showcases seasonal beauty, particularly stunning in autumn when the maple trees turn vibrant shades of red and orange.
