Begin at the iconic Batu Caves, a 400-million-year-old limestone marvel and Hindu pilgrimage site. Climb the 272 colorful steps to the Temple Cave, passing the towering Lord Murugan statue. Explore vivid murals and shrines, guided by a local expert who shares insights into Hindu traditions and the caves’ geological history.
Explore Malaysia’s textile heritage at a batik workshop. Watch artisans create intricate designs using wax and dyes, then try your hand at painting a small batik piece to take home (included in tour price). This hands-on experience replaces the standard batik factory visit, which some travelers found too commercial.
