Plaza de la Merced
Plaza de la Constitución is a focal point for many of Málaga's festivities, including the famous Holy Week (Semana Santa) processions and the August Fair (Feria de Agosto).
Iglesia de San Juan Bautista
The church dates back to the 15th century, making it one of the oldest churches in Málaga. It was established after the Reconquista, when Christian forces retook the city from the Moors.
Malaga Cathedral
The cathedral was built on the site of a former mosque after the Reconquista, when Christian forces reclaimed Málaga from Moorish rule in 1487. Construction began in 1528 and continued for several centuries.
