Madrid’s La Latina is full of history, character, and, if you know where to look, some of the best food and wine in the city.
This isn’t a tapas crawl or a history lesson, this is about sharing great wine and good food in places you might not find on your own.
We start in a local market with a simple but perfect first bite, paired with a specially selected local wine.
From there, we’ll visit a handful of spots for Spanish cheeses, jamón, croquetas, tortilla, and a classic dessert, each with a carefully chosen wine to match.
No gimmicks, no tourist traps, just real food, good wine, education about the food and wine being consumed accompanied by a relaxed walk through one of Madrid’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.
Join this tour to get a better understanding of Spanish wines, the Madrid lifestyle and leave with a reference of places to enjoy Madrid thereafter.
We'll start our tour in a local, authentic market where we'll walk among local sellers of produce and other Spanish products before stopping at a stall to sample something delicious and start with our first wine from the Madrid region to get us started.
Cheese & wine bar We'll head to a small, but enjoyable cheese and wine bar focusing on fewer products but those of quality and with a great story. We'll sample another Spanish wine paired with two cheeses.
Taverna We'll head to small tavern/tapas bar to try some cured meats paired with a specially selected wine.
