New York City has more than one Little Italy and Italian-American cuisine is more than pizza, spaghetti and meatballs. Bring your appetite and go off-the-beaten-path to the ethnically diverse and historically Italian-American neighborhood of Bensonhurst - Brooklyn's Pasta Paradise! On this small group walking tour, we will visit some of Bensonhurst's favorite old school places to eat and shop. Your guide, a native Brooklynite, will share the neighborhood's history and his own unique perspectives as only a local can. You'll learn why Brooklyn continues to draw people from all over the world while we walk and taste.
We will visit local businesses that make or prepare Italian-American specialties including baked goods, cheeses, heroes and ravioli. We will be in the neighborhood of Bensonhurst between 75th and 84th Streets and 14th and 18th Avenues.
You will make your own way to the meeting points
