On arrival, guests are welcomed to the boma with songs sung by the Maasai women. You may also be adorned with typical items of Maasai clothing like a shuka and jewellery. You then begin a tour of the compound to learn about some of the typical daily activities of the people. These may include how to make fire, milk cows, fetch water or check on the progress of bee hives. The Maasai men will also perform “adumu”, the well known jumping dance, which is performed as a display of the young men’s strength. You are welcome to participate.
