Itinerary

Lake Bled

One of Slovenia’s most enchanting attractions is undoubtedly Bled Island, a picturesque gem nestled in the clear blue waters of Lake Bled. Visitors can take a scenic rowboat ride to the island, where they can ring the famous wishing bell nestled within the Church of the Assumption, a charming 17th-century church that stands as a symbol of hope and dreams. As you make your way up the steps to the church, take a moment to absorb the breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including the majestic medieval Bled Castle perched dramatically on a cliff above the lake. Your visit wouldn’t be complete without indulging in the local delicacy, kremšnita—a delicious cream cake that has become synonymous with Bled. This delightful dessert features a light and airy custard layered between crisp pastry, offering a taste of pure bliss that perfectly complements the stunning lakeside setting.
