Lepakshi

Lepakshi Temple: This 16th-century temple complex is located in the Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh and is renowned for its stunning stone carvings, intricate murals, and unique architectural features. Some of the highlights of the temple include the Veerabhadra Temple, the Natya Mantapa (dance hall), the Kalyana Mandapa (marriage hall), and the Mukha Mantapa (main hall), which features 38 massive pillars. The Hanging Pillar: This is perhaps the most famous feature of Lepakshi Temple. One of the pillars in the main hall is suspended in the air and is not touching the ground. You can even pass a thin piece of paper or a cloth through the gap between the pillar and the ground. Nandi Statue: The temple complex also features a giant statue of Nandi, the sacred bull, which is carved from a single granite block and is considered one of the largest Nandi statues in the world. 1:00 PM - Take a break for lunch and enjoy local cuisine at a nearby restaurant.
