Kucuksu Pavilion is a stunning example of Ottoman architecture, located by the Bosphorus on the European side of Istanbul. Built in the 19th century during Sultan Abdulmecid’s reign, it replaced an older hunting lodge used by the sultans. The pavilion is known for its unique design, which blends both Ottoman and Western architectural styles, reflecting the changes of the time.

When you visit the Kucuksu Pavilion, you can explore its elegant rooms, decorated with beautiful plaster reliefs, painted ceilings, and Italian marble fireplaces. The interiors are filled with European-style furniture, luxurious carpets, and impressive paintings that create a sophisticated and charming atmosphere.

Outside, the pavilion is surrounded by peaceful gardens, and its seaward side offers a fantastic view of the Bosphorus. Visitors can enjoy the ornamental pool, fountain, and decorative reliefs while relaxing in the tranquil surroundings.

The visit also includes an audio guide that provides detailed information about the pavilion’s history, architecture, and the royal sultans who once stayed there. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn about the Ottoman Empire’s royal lifestyle and experience the art, culture, and craftsmanship that defined the era.
