Jozani Chwaka Bay National Park
Take a scenic walk through the wild and rugged woods, located about an hour's drive from Stone Town. Explore the impressive mangrove boardwalk swamp and, of course, encounter the Red Colobus monkeys, which are abundant in the Jozani area and found only in Zanzibar. The nature walks through the forest provide an excellent opportunity to observe the island's unique wildlife up close.
Jambo Spice Farm
Enjoy on a tour through Zanzibar's spice plantations to discover a variety of exotic spices, herbs, and tropical fruit trees. You'll have the opportunity to experience the aromas of black pepper vines, cardamom bushes, cinnamon trees, nutmeg trees, clove trees, and vanilla vines, just to name a few. During the tour, you'll enjoy a refreshing cup of spice tea and have the chance to learn how to climb a coconut palm with the help of the local spice boys. The tour also includes a visit to the Persian baths of Kidichi, which were built for the second wife of Zanzibar's first Arab ruler, Said bin Sultan, who lived at the Mtoni Palace Ruins.
