Visit Hoi An, a former trading port that once welcomed merchants from China, the Netherlands, France, Japan, Portugal, and Arabia between the 16th and 18th centuries. Today, Hoi An is celebrated for its beautifully restored architecture, handmade silk, skilled tailors, and delicious noodles and seafood. The town’s relaxed vibe and pedestrian-friendly streets make it a joy to explore and discover new treasures.
The first famous landmark we visit is Chua Ong Pagoda, dating back to 1653. It was built in honor of the Chinese general Quan Cong, who is revered by many as a symbol of loyalty and justice.
Next, pop into Phuc Kien Assembly Hall, to see the Jinshang Temple which is dedicated to the goddess of the sea and the protector of sailors.
From there it’s a short walk to Tan Ky House, a 200 year old ancestral house.
