Join our full-day sailing trip, leaving Heraklion Old port daily and live a proper sailing experience, looked after by our experienced and hospitable crew, with plenty of time to take in this wonderful journey. With the best views of Crete seen only by sea, we will make enough anchor stops to give you the opportunity to admire the beaches and of course sailing!

What's included in Heraklion: Nature Reserve Full day sailing to Dia Island & Lunch
(Subject to Option Inclusions)Our crew will meet you at the Old Venetian port and welcome you on board, where you will be given a briefing about safety and boat handling. We set our sails and we are off to our destination, Dia island. Dia is an uninhabited island, 7 nautical miles north of Heraklion and is protected by the Natura 2000 project because of its biodiversity. First stop is Agrilia Bay, one of the remote beaches of the island where we can avoid the crowds. You have the chance to enjoy your first swim, snorkel or relax with a cool refreshment and fresh fruit for about an hour. We continue to Panagia cove, a bay with green, crystal waters. Last stop is Agios Georgios, one of the most popular crystal clear beaches on the island. A small history fact, is that this well-protected cove was one of the major Minoan ports, according to Jacques-Yves Cousteau who discovered some of its remains in 1976. As you will have plenty of time for another refreshing dive, our skipper and host will prepare a delicious lunch made exclusively from fresh and local ingredients. After this delicious lunch, we set sails back to Heraklion port, get prepared we may spot some of our lovely mammal friends, the dolphins.

Additional Information
Kindly note that booking price includes pickups at a range of 10 km from the port. Your taxi/minivan/minibus will wait for you outside your hotel main entrance. Transfers further than 10km from Heraklion are available upon extra cost, minimum 20€.
Meeting / End Points
- We meet at the "Marina cafe" 30 minutes before the tour starts. The crew members are wearing ALTERSAIL t-shirts. ** Please note that the trip start time may change, we will inform you in advance, but the duration will not be affected.
