Itinerary

Plaza Mayor

Meeting Point. Important to be on time. The tour departs on time. Meet your guide in Plaza Mayor, and set off on a tapas crawl of the city, exploring the best bars that only madrileños go. Madrid streets are full of history and we are ready to share with you the best of Spanish wine together with some extraordinary tapas. We will visit four bars with totally different concepts and try wines so unlike to each other that you will find it hard to believe they were born in the same country. Sample beautiful Spanish wines made from well-known grapes like tempranillo, malvar, garnacha, and parellada, and enjoy a complimentary tapas dish to complement the wine's flavors. Beer and soft drinks (one per bar) are also included should you prefer this to wine! Examples of dishes include anchovies, Iberian ham and special sausages, cheeses, croquettes, octopus. Your tapas tour finishes in a centrally located bar so you could to continue your night out independently.

Admission Ticket Included

Literary Quarter (Barrio de Las Letras)

Bar 1 : We start our gastronomic journey with a tiny bar for a quick pit-stop to try famous wild strawberry Madrid liquor. It feels like sipping Madrid itself and we do not anyone who would not like it. Obligatory to try. Beer and soft drinks (one per bar) are also included should you prefer this to wine! Here we will try delicious anchovies. And of course you will enjoy a lot the atmosphere of this old-fashioned bar.

Literary Quarter (Barrio de Las Letras)

Bar 2 : Down the streets, through the heart of the Literature Quarter, once home to many famous writers. Our next stop will be an Asturian bar, it's a real treasure where we will taste Spanish cider, made by an unique technology without sugar. Also here highly recommended to try white wine from Galicia (region in the north part of Spain) those wines feel like trying a salty-flower liquid gold with a smell of Atlantic ocean, because wineries are located just in front and they perfectly pair with some fried tapas. For example eggplant with honey, famous octopus, croquettes with cuttlefish ink and strong cheese with cider touch.
