The monument depicts a figure holding up a child, symbolizing the birth of a new, independent Uganda and the end of colonial oppression. It stands as a reminder of the struggles and triumphs of the independence movement, capturing the nation's pride and aspirations for a self-governed future. The monument also features a display area that narrates the journey toward independence, highlighting key events and figures that contributed to Uganda's liberation.
