The tour begins south of Lucca, passing through the charming villages of Gattaiola and Meati and their enchanting country roads, and then following the Serchio River along the Parco Fluviale. Here we'll be able to bike in relax on the 11 km of gravel roads only open to pedestrians and bicycle riders, enjoying the diverse ecosystem of the Serchio river. We’ll then finally loop back through scenic country lanes and olive groves hills before returning to our shop. Prepare the canteen, sunglasses and camera: this will be a day to remember.
Our bike tours can be experienced on both a trekking bike or an e-bike. The trekking bike option is recommended only to experienced and trained riders. Please note there is a supplement of 25,00€ for the E-Bike. Due to size issues, the tour is open only to adults and kids above 160cm.
Our tours start every Tuesday morning at 10:00, and last roughly 2.5 hours, for a total of 20km.
E-Bike: This option is recommended for all those who are not used to riding for longer routes.
With a diverse landscape ranging from sea to mountains to hills filled with vineyards and olive groves, Lucca has truly a lot to offer. We'll be focusing on the countryside just outside the city, travelling on roads away from traffic and surrounded by the natural scenery of the territory.
Using the church as our point of reference, we'll be travelling through the lovely towns of Gattaiola and Meati, with narrow country roads, lush greenery, olive groves, and peaceful landscapes—perfect for a serene escape into nature's beauty.
The Riverside Park of the Serchio river stretches for 11 km, producing a beautiful ring that can be travelled on foot or on bicycle. The diverse ecosystem of the river is home to a multitude of species of birds and plants, making it a naturalistic wonder for all ages.
