Strada del Vino Franciacorta (Franciacorta wine route)
You'll depart from Milan with a private car transfer and, after approximately 1 hour, you will arrive at the winery and start your tour by discovering the vineyards, their history and tradition, as well as the particular cultivation techniques for the Franciacorta grapes. From the vineyards, you'll then be led to the winery to explore the wine cellar and learn about the typical production methods which characterize this unique wine. A guided wine tasting will follow, during which you will taste different varieties of wines accompanied by some typical local products. If you love good wine and its tradition, you must have heard of Franciacorta before. But are you sure you really know about its history, what makes it unique, and the secrets of the different varieties of this majestic wine? Through this tour, you'll have the chance to discover and taste this fantastic Sparkling Wine called the Italian champagne!
VALPOLICELLA TASTING
On the way to the Valpolicella area, we’ll stop for our lunch break, enjoying an authentic local meal including appetizer, first course, dessert, wine (of course!) and water. Location may vary, may be at the cellar or in local restaurant.
VALPOLICELLA TASTING
The third and last stop will be Valpolicella, for local wine tasting which includes the famous Amarone. Tour will begin visiting the winery and the fields that surround the cellar, the aging cellars and then.. tasting will be in front of the wonderful view of Verona from the terrace! Amarone is generally described as full-bodied, with a great ageing potential. These facts miss something essential about the experience of drinking Amarone: it’s a huge wine, seriously huge, with alcohol levels regularly exceeding 15%. It is, above all, a luxurious wine, the most opulent dry wine produced in the Valpolicella, and a good one should just explode on the palate.
