During this walking food tour of Barcelona’s central, but authentic, El Born district we chart ‘The Evolution of Catalan Cuisine’ from its humble (but delicious) beginnings, to the modern fare which the region’s celebrity chefs have made famous.
We start with a tour of the wonderful Santa Caterina food market. Next, we’ll visit a traditional basque style pintxos bar to taste the immense variety of Northern Spanish cuisine.
Afterwards we’ll head to a lively taverna and we have the chance to drink from a Spanish porron vessel.
Finally, what better way to round off a food tour than bodega, to taste the classic cuisine that Catalans have enjoyed for generations? We’ll even get to make our own pan amb tomaquet (tomato bread).
