Piazza della Repubblica is one of Florence’s principal squares, serving as the city’s center since Roman times. The Colonna della Dovizia, also known as the Column of Abundance, marks the intersection of the cardus and decumanus maximi, the main streets of the Roman forum

The Piazza della Signoria is the central square of Florence, situated between the Piazza del Duomo and the Arno River. The square took on its present form in the thirteenth century and was paved towards the end of the fourteenth century. Since then, it has consistently served as the civic and political heart of the city.

  • Even with the skip-the-line entrance, there is still a compulsory security check which may cause some delays in entering the museum.
  • Big umbrellas must be left inside a cloakroom on entering Uffizi Gallery. When the tour finishes customers have to make their own way back to Uffizi Gallery to collect their umbrellas. The cloakroom is open until 6:40pm. To reduce any disruption for your group, we recommend that big umbrellas are not taken on this tour. Small umbrellas are still allowed at Uffizi Gallery
  • Please note: the Vasari Corridor is closed to visits to all groups until further notice. Therefore the corridor is not visited during this tour as it is currently not accessible.
  • Please be informed that this tour won't be available on every first Sunday of each month
  • We love pets, but to ensure everyone's comfort and safety, we kindly ask that you leave your furry friends at home for this tour.

• Even with the skip-the-line entrance, there is still a compulsory security check which may cause some delays in entering the museum. • Meet your guide at Towns of Italy Hub Piazza Mentana 2/R (opposite side of the Arno River). Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour starting time. • Please note: the Vasari Corridor is closed to visits to all groups until further notice. Therefore the corridor is not visited during this tour as it is currently not accessible. • Please note that starting in March 2025, the NEW meeting point will be at the TOWNS OF ITALY KIOSK. Meet your tour leader in front of the Towns of Italy Kiosk, located in Piazza della Repubblica, under the arches to the left when facing the Apple Store.
