Duomo - Cattedrale di Santa Maria del Fiore

Your tour will begin just in front of the entrance to the Duomo ticket office at Piazza di San Giovanni, where your guide will lead you passed the public lines and directly into the cathedral, thanks to our special no wait access. Upon entering the church, your guide will begin the story of this incredible feat of engineering that required a whole new process for its construction. Including how, after nearly 200 years of construction, architect Filippo Brunelleschi's innovative approach finally enabled its completion. In addition to learning the history of this magnificent structure, you will also view the beautiful details of its interior including elaborate marble floors, stained-glass windows, and beautiful frescos. Your tour will be capped off by the viewing of Vasari’s famous Last Judgement, which lines the incredible 375 ft high dome. After your thirty-minute guided tour you will have the option to remain and explore the Duomo at your leisure or continue out to the beautiful Piazza del Duomo.

Cupola Del Brunelleschi

The Brunelleschi Dome, part of the Florence Cathedral, is a crowning architectural achievement by Filippo Brunelleschi. Completed in the 15th century, it stands as an engineering marvel, showcasing a double-shell structure with an inner and outer dome. The red-tiled exterior harmonizes with the city's skyline. This tour also includes tickets to the nearby Museo della Misericordia. You can visit this jewel of a museum on your own to see its selection of Renaissance paintings and learn about the history of the ambulance corps that was founded to deal with the Black Death.

• Check-in is 15 minutes prior to the booked tour start time. Late arrivals will not be accommodated and no refund will be possible. • Our City Wonders coordinators will be wearing blue City Wonders attire and handling a blue flag to be easily recognizable at the meeting point • The tour involves a fair amount of climbing and many stairs if the Dome climb upgrade is selected (there is no lift). • Only very small bags are allowed, no backpack or luggage. • Entrance to the Museum can be denied to visitors carrying rucksacks and large backpacks. • Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women. • Complimentary access to the Great Museum of the Duomo, Giotto’s Bell Tower and the Baptistery are all included in your special ticket, which you can use for 72hours, in your own time after the tour (if Dome Climb Upgrade option selected) • Please note that, under exceptional circumstances and because of religious festivities, access to the Duomo (Cathedral) might be restricted to visitors. In this case the tour will be cancelled and we will process a full refund. • Gratuities for your guide/driver that provided excellent service are appreciated! Disclaimer • The Museum closes at 4:00 PM. If you booked a tour at 3:00 PM or 3:30 PM you can visit the museum before your tour (by presenting the voucher at the entrance) or on the following day. • Please note that backpacks are not allowed inside the Duomo due to security and space constraints. If you bring a backpack, you may miss the tour as there are no storage facilities available.
