The Jerusalem Forest is the only protected dry forest in the Northern Andes of Ecuador, it is located at an altitude of 2400 meters above sea level. In this place you will take a guided tour along the forest trails, the guide will explain all the characteristic data of these ecosystems, you will be able to observe species such as falcons, hummingbirds, bromeliads, orchids, among others. After the tour you will have a short moment to tour the facilities, take photos and enjoy the landscape.
Guayllabamba is a rural parish belonging to the Quito canton. This parish is characterized by being an agricultural and tourist valley. During your visit to this place you will see that there are many people selling fruits and you will taste a typical local lunch "locro".
We will go to the Bromeliad Botanical Garden where we will enjoy its flowers, colors and shapes. During this tour we will learn about these plants and their importance. Then we will walk along the trails where we will learn about the native flora and fauna of the Dry Forest until we reach the sustainable Bromeliad plantation that is located in the middle of the forest.
