Just 11 kilometers away from the bustling city of Jaipur lies Amer, a place known for its majestic Amer fort. This fort is a stunning example of Mughal architecture. Built on the Aravalli hills by Maharaja Man Singh I in 1592 AD, this fort is an impressive structure with intricate carvings and beautiful palaces. Inside the fort walls are four main courtyards that house many iconic buildings such as Diwan-e-Aam (Hall of Public Audience) and Sheesh Mahal (Mirror Palace). You can experience the majestic views from the fort making it one of the most popular tourist attractions in India. Also visit Panna Meena Kund, Panna Meena Ka Kund is a hidden oasis in Jaipur that many tourists overlook while rushing to the renowned Amer Fort. This lesser-known gem offers an unforgettable experience and should not be missed on any visit to Jaipur.
Panna Meena ka Kund
Panna Meena Ka Kund is a 16th-century stepwell in Jaipur, India, known for its intricate architecture and vibrant geometric patterns. With symmetrical steps leading to a central reservoir, it offers a serene atmosphere and is a popular photography spot.
Jal Mahal
Jal Mahal is a stunning architectural marvel situated on the Man Sagar Lake in Rajasthan. Its design follows the traditional Rajputana style and offers an awe-inspiring view of the lake from its location, as well as a picturesque sight when viewed from the eastern shore of Man Sagar Dam. Although visiting the actual Jal Mahal palace is no longer allowed, tourists can still view it from a pathway around Man Sagar Lake. There's no entry fee to see the palace and you can visit during daylight hours between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.
