Which Eurail Pass to Choose
The Eurail Global Pass offers two ticket options for exploring Europe. Flexi Pass lets you travel on select days (like 7 days in 1 month), while Continuous Pass allows unlimited train travel every day during your pass's duration, up to 3 months.
There are also passes based on age, including Adult Pass, Senior Pass, and a separate Youth Pass for children.
How to Activate Your Eurail Global Pass
To activate your Eurail Pass, follow these steps in the Eurail Rail Planner app:
- Add your Eurail mobile pass by entering your last name and pass number.
- Create a trip and connect it to your pass.
- Enter your ID number and start date—or skip it if you're not ready to travel yet
You can activate your Eurail Global Pass anytime within 11 months of purchase.
How to Travel with your Eurail Global Pass
The Eurail Pass is easy to use as a mobile pass:
- On the Eurail Rail Planner app, pick your travel dates and save your trips to "My Trip."
- When you're ready to go, open "My Pass," tap "Show ticket," and show your QR code to board the train.
Insider Tips:
- Overnight trains save travel days; you only use one travel day unless changing trains after midnight. Example: A train departing at 19:10 on 14 October and arriving at 02:30 on 15 October requires only the 14 October entry in your travel calendar
- For single-country travel, consider booking a Eurail One Country Pass
