The Food and Drink Tour starts on the market square, right in the middle of the city center. Our guide will tell you some stories about what you can see here and about the city's history. If it is a market day, the first food stop will be right in the middle of the square.
Before we actually start, let's reset our tasting buds. We will briefly visit the oldest chemist of the Netherlands, a store from 1759. There we will be taking some old Dutch medicine... Good for the stomach! That sounds odd, but don't worry. The chemist will tell us about it.
The next stop is restaurant De Waag, located in a historical building. For centuries, this place is where all goods traded on Delft's market had to be weighed and taxed. What better way to start off by having some bitterballen and a beer (or soda)?
