In 1873, a street lined with shops called Tanukikoji Shopping street was established. Today it's a fascinating blend of old and new, with historic shops and trendy stores. Tanukikoji Shopping street stretches over 900 metres and is a covered arcade with around 200 shops spread over seven blocks.

Tanukikoji Shopping street offers a diverse range of shops, from traditional hanko (name seal) carvers shops, Thrift stores, popular haunts for Japanese high school students, and even UFO catcher（Claw machine）and gachapon machines（Capsule toy machine）. You'll also find a variety of cafes and souvenir shops. It's fun to explore the small alleys that branch off from the main arcade. We also recommend stopping by a historic knife shop, where you can admire a collection of knives for various purposes. This tour is very flexible.
