The New Church, or "Nieuwe Kerk," in Delft is a historic Gothic church founded in the late 14th century. Its soaring brick spire, standing over 100 meters tall, is an iconic symbol of Delft. Inside, you'll discover a wealth of history, including monuments, tombstones, and the final resting place of Dutch royalty. The church remains an active place of worship and hosts cultural events, making it a prominent landmark in the heart of Delft.
The Beestenmarkt is a 60 by 50 meter square in the city of Delft, in the Dutch province of South Holland. The square was created by demolishing the Minderbroederklooster (Lesser Brothers Monastery). From 1595 to 1972, the square was the location for the Delft cattle markets, where farmers from the Westland region displayed their livestock.
