Amboseli National Park is the Home of the African Elephant, Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, The Mountain dominates the skyline and surrounding country. It is the tallest mountain in Africa and the highest free-standing mountain in the world. The Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya's most popular parks. The name "Amboseli" comes from a Maasai word meaning "salty dust", and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. Nature lovers can explore five different habitats here ranging from the dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, wetlands with sulfur springs, the savannah, and woodlands. They can also visit the local Maasai community who live around the park and experience their authentic culture
Pickup included
0500hrs: Pick up from your hotel, residence within Nairobi CBD, or the airport. Depart for the Amboseli National Park via the Nairobi – Mombasa highway. We catch the African sunrise as we progress toward Amboseli. The morning drive is via the African savanna country dotted with local homesteads and colorful Masai herdsmen grazing their cattle. On arrival at the Amboseli, proceed for a game viewing drive in search of Elephant, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, Cheetah, Warthog, Ostrich, and more… we shall marvel at the wildlife and scenery found in this park. After lunch, we enjoy an early afternoon game viewing drive as we exit the park. Later depart for Nairobi to arrive in the early evening. Drop off at your hotel or residence within Nairobi CBD or the airport.
