If you happen to be in Paris and you’re itching to discover the wonders that lie beyond it, then you might want to know that one of the popular areas in the country that tourists frequent is the picturesque region of Normandy. Book through Klook and go on an adventure that’ll take you out of the City of Lights and into a land teeming with military history! Through this day tour, you’ll visit the numerous beaches of the region where the Allied Forces began their operation to liberate France from the clutches of the Nazi army. As you stroll along the shore, your tour guide will weave tales about World War II and how D-Day was a defining event in world history. You’ll also visit other important attractions in the area, such as: 1) the Colleville-sur-Mer Military Cemetery where many American soldiers are buried; 2) Pointe du Hoc, a German defense point that was attacked and seized by Allied soldiers. To make this tour even sweeter, you’ll get taken to a cider-making orchard where you’ll sample some of the finest cider in the land. You’ll also get to feast on a two-course French lunch. This is a must for any history buff visiting the beautiful country of France.
By metro: Take Subway Line 6 or 9 and stop at Trocadero Station. Follow the exit signs (they have a brown color) to the Eiffel Tower. Leave from Exit 1. You’ll see the Palais de Chaillot to you left. Your guide will be waiting just outside the station and will be holding a sign that says “City Wonders”.
