The Solar de Samaniego Winery in Laguardia dates back to 1968 and literature has been part of its history since the first wines born from its Finca La Escobosa, which was owned by the writer Félix María de Samaniego in the 18th century.
The Beber Entre Líneas project inherits this literary spirit, which inspires the recovery and reinterpretation of the characteristic industrial architecture of the winery with the collaboration of artists from multiple disciplines, from the renowned interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán to the prestigious Australian muralist Guido van Helten, which has transformed the old warehouses of the winery with a monumental artistic intervention.
The visit allows you to discover the winemaking process, learn about the history of Solar de Samaniego and experience the literary spirit that has transformed every corner of the winery. The tour passes through the wine-literary spaces designed by the interior designer Lázaro Rosa Violán, the tasting and reading room, the library hidden among bottle racks or the monumental artistic intervention carried out by the Australian muralist Guido van Helten in the old warehouses. During the visit, three glasses of wine will be tasted. The visit ends in the dining rooms with views of the winery's vineyard, where a closed Traditional Menu will be served consisting of starters, Riojan-style potatoes, lamb chops with vine shoots, dessert and coffee paired with the winery's Crianza.
