In fact, the city of Cleopatra and the tomb of Alexander The Great are still undiscovered. Upon arrival at Alexandria your trip will start with a visit to Pompay’s Pillar that was made on the honor of the emperor Diocletian during the 3rd century. The pillar was a part of the Serapis Temple that was famous for having the daughter library of Alexandria.
Our next step is to visit the famous old Roman Catacombs of Kom Ashoqafa, considered as one of the seven medieval wonders of the world and the largest known roman burial site in Egypt. The Catacombs are cut out of rock in the shape of circular shaft including three levels with a spiral staircase to a depth of about 35m with features unlike that of any other catacomb in the ancient world. You will experience a combination between the ancient Egyptian and the ancient Roman art.
After that enjoy your time discovering Alexandria library “Bibliotheca Alexandrina”. The modern library was designed by a Norwegian architect at a total cost of 220 millions$ and opened to the public in 2002.it takes the shape of a rising sun and intended to hold 8 million books in its vast space.
