As you cruise through Basseterre, you will see the National Museum, Berkley Memorial, Independence Square, the Catholic church, and St. George's Anglican Church. As you head westward, you will see the War Memorial. From that point you will head over to the Government House of St. Kitts. Moving along your journey, you will take a picturesque drive to Timothy Hill, which will provide you with a panoramic view of the South East peninsula stretching out towards the sister island, Nevis. The Peninsula is a narrow strip of land that divides two bodies of water: the Atlantic to the left and the Caribbean to the right.
To finalize your journey, stop at the soothing Friars Bay Beach where you can walk on the golden sand and dip your toes in the Caribbean waters. You will soon understand why for many years Friars Bay has been the most popular beach for locals.

Independence Square formerly Pall Mall Square, was renamed on the 19th September 1983 after St.Kitts and Nevis became an independent nation. It is located on the eastern side of Basseterre bordering on Newtown. Its layout was designed to look like a Union Jack and the streets and houses surrounding it once dated to the mid-eighteenth century. Unfortunately, time and environmental damage have destroyed many of them. Some like the Court House and Public Library have been destroyed by fire and have been rebuilt.
The St.George's Anglican Church is the largest church in St. Kitts doubles as the site of a fiery religious battle. Its history is a tumultuous one that represents the island’s early life and the lengthy battles for dominance that defined it
