The Chavín de Huantar Archaeological Monument was declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 1985. It is considered the first Andean empire in South America. It is the parent culture Its stone carvings are unique. It has a lot of wealth and cultural and historical value for Peru and the world. It is considered as the most important pilgrimage center in the Andean world It is located in the middle of two rivers.

We will enter the Huascarán National Park, where we will make a brief stop at this beautiful lagoon, from where we can appreciate the southern face of the Cordillera Blanca, a whimsical geological formation that resembles the ancient map of Peru.
We will arrive at the famous first pre-Hispanic empire of Peru, discovered by Julio C. Tello in 1919 and that in 1985 was declared a Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Chavín is a complex ceremonial center, built around 1500 - 500 BC, of which the monumental part is known, which is comprised of a set of massive-looking buildings considered temples. You will visit the Plaza Mayor, the Black and White Staircase, the Building A, Portico de las Falcónidas, Plaza Circular, Cabezas Clavas, the galleries and the Lanzón (impressive stone sculpture in the shape of a knife).
National Museum of Chavín de Huantar: we will go to the famous Peruvian Japanese cooperation museum, which houses in its different exhibition rooms original pieces and replicas of the discoveries at the Chavín de Huantar Archaeological Monument.
